Terms and Conditions

By purchasing from Twinwoods 4×4 Ltd either through this website, by telephone, post or through any other sales channel such as eBay or Amazon or in person, you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions in conjunction with our Privacy Policy.

Payment, Pricing & Promotions

Our current products and prices are clearly advertised in our on-line shop. We reserve the right to change or amend our prices without notice. Occasionally we may offer discounts and promotions to the advertised prices.

Supplier prices change frequently.  Where prices are significantly different for backordered or special order parts we will contact you to seek your approval prior to ordering.

All products sold remain the property of Twinwoods 4×4 Ltd until paid for in full.  We do not offer credit accounts.

The following payment options are available for online orders:

  • debit card
  • credit card
  • BACS / Bank Transfer
  • PayPal (available for small orders up to £100)

Please note that we do not accept credit or debit cards over the telephone.  All telephone orders will be followed up with an email invoice.

We may add surcharges or discounts to some payment methods.  These will be displayed at the time of purchase.

VAT (Value Added Tax)

As we deal with businesses and customers all over the world all prices shown on our retail website, including delivery prices, are shown excluding VAT at the current VAT rate.  In most cases both the exclusive and inclusive price is shown.  VAT is confirmed at checkout.  International orders do not attract UK VAT, though the website may show the inclusive and exclusive amount as being the same.

Damages – we rarely have issues with our couriers however if an order is received damaged then please either reject the delivery or contact as soon as possible, and in any case no later than the end of the delivery day.  Please take any photos required.

Delivery times are not guaranteed, but we do have very few issues.  If you have any issues with your delivery then please contact us.

We monitor the performance of our couriers carefully.  If you have any issues whatsoever with delivery then please contact us and we will try our best to help.

Please note we cannot send orders to PO Boxes.  PO Boxes are for Royal Mail post and our couriers are unable to delivery to them.

Customer Collections

You are welcome to collect your order, however please contact us first to arrange this.  Just select Click and Collect at checkout and no postage and packaging will be added.

All collection times must be pre-arranged.  Please do not just come to collect without contacting us first.  We can often accommodate evening and weekend collections with some notice.  

Stock Availabilty

We make every effort to make sure that we carry stock of all the items shown as available or in stock. However, we do occasionally get caught out or let down by suppliers. Some items are shown as “available on back order” meaning we need to order these items in for you.  Please allow some extra time for this, usually an additional 1-2 days, or contact us first to check. 

As one of the few Land Rover parts suppliers that supports customer collections these orders do not update our stock system automatically.  Therefore sometimes we may show a product in stock where it is not.  As always for all critical or very urgent orders please contact us directly before ordering.

Vehicle Fitment

Item descriptions and any fitment guides are advertised to the best of our knowledge, we rely on the information given to us by parts and vehicle manufacturers and other third parties. We can only go on the information we are given for the vehicle as it was built and how it left the factory. If the vehicle has been modified from standard, then there is no guarantee that the fitment information we give will be correct. In these circumstances the buyer is expected to check that the parts are suitable before ordering. Manufacturers and suppliers do occasionally change the specifications or supply an alternative without notifying us.

Product Guarantee

All items are sold subject to the manufacturers guarantee. In most cases, unless otherwise stated this will be at least 12 months for new items and parts. Items or parts sold as used are not covered by any guarantee but can be returned for a refund if they are considered not as described. The guarantee only covers the specific item or part, the guarantee does not cover any consequential losses or damage, personal injury or to property. Product guarantees only cover items for normal use, unless otherwise specified this guarantee does not cover professional or competition use or any part that is incorrectly fitted, damaged during fitting or abused in any way. Replacement parts are only guaranteed for normal road use, not for off-road use or competition use. Any faulty item or part must be returned with details of the date of purchase and an invoice/packing number for inspection before a refund or replacement is offered. Some items will need to be returned to the manufacturer for inspection before a refund or replacement is considered. The guarantee does not cover any freight charges; the buyer is responsible for any return postage or courier fees.  In some cases we may ask for proof that parts were fitted professionally.

Returns Policy

Our 30-day returns policy means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 30 days of the date you received the item, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item, less the postage/delivery charge.  Special order items cannot be returned unless they are faulty.

We can only accept the return of opened or used items if they are genuinely faulty. Please note that we reserve the right to send back items to you that have been returned to us after 30 days unless they are faulty. For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service if the value of the return is more than £30.00 GBP.  Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error.  Where a product is found to faulty we will reimburse the cost of postage, so please keep your postage receipt.

Items returned as faulty but which are subsequently found to be not faulty will be returned to you.  Returns will not be accepted because they did not solve your problem.

Please note that we are unable to send out replacement parts prior to receiving the faulty parts.  We know this is inconvenient but that is how our suppliers work and we have to adopt the same process.

Returning Goods To Us

Any return for unwanted or warranty items must be returned to the address below and must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice and a brief note to explain the return reason, simply saying faulty is not enough. If you do not have a copy of your invoice, please contact us and we will send you a copy. Any parcels received without this information will not be processed, without exception.  Please note that we are unable to send out replacement parts prior to receiving the faulty parts.

Fraud Prevention

For unusual orders (for example orders containing high value items or a high proportion of special order items) we may deal with your order differently.  We may:

  • contact you for more information
  • carry out further checks
  • delay sending your order to allow time for any payment disputes or other issues that may arise
  • cancel your order

If we need to contact you regarding your order then please respond as soon as possible.

Trade Orders

All trade orders are subject to the normal terms and conditions.  Twinwoods 4×4 Ltd do not offer credit accounts, all orders will be shipped on receipt of payment.

In the case that items in the order are out of stock we will normally send what we are able to and then order in the remainder which will arrive to you separately.

We monitor the use of trade accounts and reserve the right to remove trade accounts without notice.

Workshop

Twinwoods 4×4 Ltd torque all wheel nuts according to manufactures guidelines however we recommend all customers to re-torque all wheel nuts after 50km/30 miles. We will not be held responsible for any damage resulting from non-compliance with this policy.

Our standard labour charge is £65.00+VAT per hour.

Cancellation Policy

An order placed through our on-line shop can be cancelled if adequate notice is given before we dispatch the order. Once an order has dispatched it cannot be cancelled but the goods can be returned in accordance with our return policy after they have been received.

Orders containing special order parts cannot be cancelled once we have placed an order with our suppliers.

We reserve the right to cancel any order at any point prior to despatch with no obligation to give a reason and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the cancellation.

Where an order is unable to be delivered we may cancel the order and provide a refund less costs incurred.

Events

Any events organised and run by Twinwoods 4×4 Ltd are done so purely on a fun basis.  Your participation is purely at your own risk and we will not accept any liability for injury, damage or any other loss.  This includes any other event we may promote but that we may not be directly involved in organising.
