Like all websites we have to use cookies. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.

We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. We also outsource some elements and functions on our website to third party developers.  These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Internet Explorer or Chrome) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you won’t have access to many features that make your site experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly.

Terms and Conditions

Please also visit our Terms and Conditions section establishing the use, disclaimers, and limitations of liability governing the use of our website.

Security

This website is protected with SSL (secure socket layer) encryption, the highest standard in Internet security.  Our SSL certificate is renewed regularly.

Ordering with Twinwoods 4×4 Ltd online is handled with our third party payment gateway, TakePayments (Barclaycard), to ensure that your credit/debit card information is handled with the highest security possible.

The Barclaycard payment server uses Secure Socket Layer technology which creates a secure layer between your browser program and your Internet connection.

When you place an order on our site it is processed by the Barclaycard payment server, where you will see a small padlock appear at the bottom of your browser’s window. This padlock shows you that your browser is displaying a secure page. If you click on this padlock you will see our digital certificate information guaranteeing the identity of the page.

SSL also encrypts data and verifies that it was not altered between your computer and our server. To the best of our knowledge there has never been a breach of security reported using SSL (secure socket layer) technology.

At no point are any credit/debit card transactions sent over an unsecured connection. We never see the full card details of your payment to us and please ensure you do not send them to us.

Telephone Orders

Due to the increased risk of fraud we do not accept telephone orders with card payments.  However you can still call or email us and once an order has been determined we can email an invoice which can be paid by bank transfer.
